He strategically utilizes this proficiency to maximize outcomes in his clients’ favor, consistently securing remarkable results that exceed expectations.

Matt is uniquely dedicated to representing injured people and those who have been wronged by insurance companies.

In 2014 Matt traded in a comfortable and safe law firm partnership so that he could focus his talents, expertise, and passion exclusively toward helping injured people.

Matt has never wavered from his decision to leave the big law firm and is truly grateful for the hundreds of opportunities he has had over the past ten years to achieve impactful and life changing results for his clients.

Matt’s legal practice encompasses both state and federal courts in Montana. He is licensed to practice law in the state and admitted to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. Moreover, Matt’s expertise extends beyond his home state, as he has been asked to appear in and handle cases in various jurisdictions through “pro hac vice” admission. Together with the Miller Tourtlotte team, Matt frequently represents clients’ rights and interests in courtrooms across Montana.

Beyond his legal career, Matt is actively dedicated to serving the Montana community. Throughout his life, he has advocated for public access to Montana lands and waters, notably through his previous service on the Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks Commission. It’s evident that Matt deeply cherishes Montana’s natural beauty, and he consistently advocates for ensuring high-quality access to outdoor recreational opportunities statewide.

Personally, Matt enjoys spending time with his family outside of his professional commitments. The Tourtlotte family is highly engaged in various scholastic and club activities throughout Montana and the Western Region, reflecting their strong belief in community involvement.
